1.a)Using phrase/IC (p. 30):

Example: In 2009, our Cegep has many good students.



1.b)Using IC/phrase :

Example: Our Cegep has many good students in 2009.



2.a)Using a dependant clause with subordinating conjunction/IC (p. 31):

Examples: Since our Cegep offers many excellent programs, it has good students.

Even if I live far from Saint-Laurent, I go to this Cegep.

If I come late to my English classe, I will have difficulties to understand my homeworks.



b) Using IC/ dependant clause with sudordination conjunction :

Examples: Our Cegep attracts mostly francophone students while Vanier draws mostly allophone students.

I love to go to this Cegep because it has a beatiful ground and historical buildings.

I wanted to go to this Cegep since I was 14 years old.

3. IC/IC using a coordinating conjunction (p 31) :

Examples: Our Cegep has a fantastic cinema program, and many graduates has a wonderful career.
Our Cegep is beautiful, but it is not always clean.
My friend works 45 hours a week, and she makes a lot of money.
